Leona Lao

Leona Lao has a strong background in data and analytics. Leona is currently working as the Head of Data and Analytics at SariSuki since October 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at Cobena Business Analytics & Strategy, Inc. from January 2016 to October 2021, including Head of Analytics Platforms, Senior Data Scientist, Digital Transformation Lead, Product Manager, and Data Analyst & Project Manager. In these roles, Leona developed computational models, business intelligence reports, and software systems for companies in various industries, focusing on operational efficiency, market sizing, feasibility studies, site selection, and more. Before joining Cobena, they interned as a Computational Linguistics Intern at Nara Institute of Science and Technology in January 2016 and as a Software Engineer Intern at Azeus Systems Philippines Limited from June 2015 to July 2015, where they gained experience in front-end web development and collaborative tools.

Leona Lao completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Ateneo de Manila University from 2012 to 2016. During their undergraduate years, they participated in an exchange program at the National University of Singapore in 2014, where they focused on Computer Science.

In terms of additional certifications, Leona obtained a Digital Product Management Specialization from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in February 2021. Leona also obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in August 2020. Prior to that, in May 2018, Leona completed an Executive MBA - Management Principles (First-Level Managers Program) offered by John Clements Consultants, Inc.
