Doug Soveran

Director, Process Research at Saskatchewan Research Council

Doug Soveran has extensive work experience in the field of process engineering. Doug started their career as a Semi Retired Process Engineer in 2018. Prior to that, they worked at the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) from 2012, where they held the position of Director, Process Research. In this role, they were responsible for the development and scaling of new processes in various industries such as biofuels, chemical processing, petroleum refining, and heavy oil upgrading. Additionally, they conducted business development activities to connect companies seeking process development with the expertise available at SRC.

Doug Soveran obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. Doug attended the university from 1977 to 1979.
