Rachel Schmalzried

Rachel Schmalzried has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rachel has worked at Satelles since 2018, initially as a Technical Project Manager, then as a Senior Technical Project Manager, and currently as the Director of Intellectual Property & Senior Technical Product Manager. In these roles, they successfully managed high-profile projects, exceeding annual revenue targets and receiving praise from both customers and internal management. Their responsibilities included customer relationship management, contractual management, program scheduling, risk and cost management, and team resourcing negotiation.

Prior to Satelles, Rachel was the Founder and consultant for Anemochory, LLC, starting in 2014. Rachel managed the company and provided consulting services.

Rachel also had roles at Swift Navigation, where they served as a Customer Success Manager and later as a Customer Program Manager. Rachel successfully executed and tracked various customer projects, prioritized responsibilities, and ensured timely deliveries based on customer requirements.

At DeVero, Rachel worked as an Enterprise Project Manager, focusing on managing a SaaS electronic medical records offering for a large Home Health & Hospice Provider in the United States. Rachel managed statement of work requests, customer dev item prioritization, and issue resolution.

Prior to that, Rachel worked at The Boeing Company as a Project Manager, Systems Engineer, and Market Analyst. Rachel worked on different projects, with a focus on commercial mobile technologies and location-based technology.

Rachel has also worked independently as a Day of Wedding Coordinator and provided organizational support for weddings.

Early in their career, Rachel gained experience in winemaking operations as a Winemaking Harvest Intern at E. & J. Gallo Winery.

Rachel also had a loaned employee position at United Way of Orange County, where they managed numerous accounts in the retail industry, provided technical support, and gave presentations to potential donors.

Rachel Schmalzried earned a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued an M.S. degree in Systems Engineering with a focus on Astrology at the University of Southern California from 2004 to 2005. Rachel then continued their education at USC Marshall School of Business, obtaining an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from 2006 to 2008. In December 2018, they obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance®.
