Rachel Schmalzried has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rachel has worked at Satelles since 2018, initially as a Technical Project Manager, then as a Senior Technical Project Manager, and currently as the Director of Intellectual Property & Senior Technical Product Manager. Early in their career, Rachel gained experience in winemaking operations as a Winemaking Harvest Intern at E. & J. Gallo Winery.

Rachel also had a loaned employee position at United Way of Orange County, where they managed numerous accounts in the retail industry, provided technical support, and gave presentations to potential donors.

Rachel Schmalzried earned a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued an M.S. degree in Systems Engineering with a focus on Astrology at the University of Southern California from 2004 to 2005. Rachel then continued their education at USC Marshall School of Business, obtaining an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from 2006 to 2008. In December 2018, they obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance®.
