Dr. Urjit Kavi

Dr. Urjit Kavi has extensive work experience in various HR and administrative roles. Dr. Urjit worked as the Group Head of Human Resources & Administration at Satyesh Brinechem Pvt Ltd, where they were responsible for manufacturing bromine and industrial salt. Prior to that, Dr. Kavi served as the General Manager of HR & Admin at Analytix Business Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd, where they implemented digitalization initiatives and strategized the implementation of HRMS.

Dr. Urjit also worked at Sodexo as the General Manager of HR and the Regional Head of HR for Gujarat and MP. During their time at Sodexo, Dr. Kavi significantly increased the employee strength and contributed to a substantial revenue increase for the organization.

Before joining Sodexo, Dr. Kavi served as the Head of HR and Administration at IDS, where they successfully deployed the PMS cycle and managed attrition rate below 4% annually.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Kavi held HR business partner roles at Parshwanath Group, IVRCL Infrastructures and Projects Ltd, Metropolis Healthcare, and Empresaria Group plc. In these roles, they built relationships with clients, implemented strategic expansion programs, and achieved revenue targets.

Dr. Urjit Kavi's education history is as follows:

Dr. Kavi started their education at Carmel Convent High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1992 to 2004. They then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the London Business School, graduating in 2008.

In 2009, Dr. Kavi attended the London Business School again to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, focusing on Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General. They completed their MBA in 2010.

Continuing their academic journey, Dr. Kavi enrolled in Mahatma Gandhi University in 2011. They simultaneously pursued two degrees, a Master's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations, which they completed in 2012, and a Research Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, which they obtained in 2013.

In 2015, Dr. Kavi pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University, completing it in 2017. They later returned to the same university for their Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, which they obtained in 2021.

During their educational journey, Dr. Kavi also earned several certifications. In 2011, they obtained a certification in Certified Recruitment Analyst from CAMI University. In 2012, they earned a certification in Certified Talent Management Analyst, also from CAMI University. Finally, in 2013, Dr. Kavi obtained a certification in Certified HR Analytics and Metrics Professional, awarded by CAMI University.

Additionally, Dr. Kavi completed a certificate program in Performance Management from XLRI Jamshedpur in 2016.
