Víctor Fanjul Hevia, PhD has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. In 2010, they were a Summer Intern at Harvard Medical School's Brigham & Women's Hospital Hematology Division, where they worked on identifying systemic factors that contribute to tumor progression. In 2011, they were a Summer Intern at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), where they studied how primary transcripts are processed. In 2012, they were a Summer Intern at the Spanish National Cardiovascular Research Center (CNIC), where they studied the role of nuclear envelope (A-type lamins) in cardiovascular disease, aging and progeria. In 2013, they were a Predoctoral Researcher at CNIC, working on molecular mechanisms underlying cardiometabolic disease in aging. In 2017, they were a Predoctoral Research Stay at the University of Oslo, where they worked on adipogenic differentiation impairment of progeric primary cells, and a Predoctoral Research Stay at Università di Pavia, where they studied electrocardiographical characterization of laminopathy mouse models. In 2020, they became a Senior Clinical Data Scientist and Senior Biostatistician at Savana, and a Community Manager at The Open Ventilator, a nonprofit working on an artificial ventilator designed to help COVID-19 patients with severe breathing difficulties.

Víctor Fanjul Hevia, PhD obtained their Licentiate in Biology from the Universidad de Oviedo in 2008-2013, followed by a Master's degree in Biomedicine and Molecular Oncology from the same institution in 2013-2014. Víctor then pursued a Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid from 2014-2019. In 2018-2019, Víctor also completed a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Additionally, Víctor has completed several certifications, including a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge in 2013, a Certificate of Participation - English Language Program from the University of Victoria Continuing Studies in 2009, a Certificat de Scolarité, niveau B2 from the Alliance Française de Paris Ile de France in 2013, a Functions A-C (Category B) Certificate for Animal Experimentation from Charles River Laboratories in 2015, and a Function D Certificate for Experimental Design of Animal Projects from Charles River Laboratories in 2016. More recently, Víctor completed a Celera Talent from Celera in 2019-2021 and a Humane, Creative & Ethical Leadership from Escuela Wander in 2019-2020. Lastly, Víctor obtained a Machine Learning certification from Saturdays.AI in 2019.
