Mark Walter

Mark Walter is the current Director of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs at Savion. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs at Tradewind Energy, Inc. from August 2017 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for analyzing and managing legislative and regulatory frameworks to help protect and grow wind and solar markets in America.

From August 2016 to August 2017, Mark Walter was the Director of Business Development at Sun Solar (formerly Missouri Sun Solar). In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's sales and development efforts and overseeing the installation of solar systems.

From September 2014 to August 2016, Mark Walter served as Deputy Director at Renew Missouri. In this role, they managed staff and internal operations, conducted policy research and legislative advocacy, and built coalitions. Mark also oversaw the organization's fundraising efforts.

Prior to their work in the renewable energy sector, Mark Walter was an estimator at Prime Electric from February 2014 to September 2014. In this role, they estimated a variety of electrical work and low-voltage systems.

Mark Walter has a Masters in Energy Regulation and Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School, a BA in Philosophy/Religion from Drury University, and certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) in Solar Thermal Elementary Level and Elementary Photovoltaics. Mark also has certification from Emtrain in Preventing Workplace Harassment.

Mark Walter works with Mark Alexander - SVP, Accounting & Financial Reporting, Matt Stedl - Senior Development Director & Head of Energy Storage, and Scott Zeimetz - Chief Development Officer.
