Serhat Erpolat

Serhat Erpolat Ph.D. is a seasoned professional in mechanical engineering with extensive experience across various roles in research, development, and innovation management. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at the Presidency of Defence Industries since November 2021, Serhat previously held positions as a Senior Development Engineer at INNIO Power, focusing on large gas engine development, and as an Innovation Manager at Ford Otosan, where responsibilities included managing innovation processes and corporate entrepreneurship. In addition, Serhat contributed significantly to R&D and intellectual property management roles at Ford Otosan and led durability analyses in engine development as an Engine Durability Supervisor. An academic background includes roles as Assistant Professor at Atilim University and Research Fellow at Loughborough University, complemented by a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University and a BSc from Middle East Technical University.
