Shirley Lacroix

Shirley Lacroix has extensive work experience in the field of education and product management. Shirley started their career in 1985 as a General Music Specialist in Lincoln Public Schools, where they taught general music to students and organized musical performances. In 1992, they joined Rhode Island College as an Associate Professor of Education. During their time there, they were responsible for music education for PK-8 students, supervised student teachers, and taught classes in elementary music education methods. In 2001, they began working for Pearson as the Director of Product Development, Management, & Marketing for Music & Art. Shirley held this position until 2019 when the company rebranded to Savvas Learning Co. Shirley continued their role as Director of Product Management at Savvas Learning Co until the present. Overall, Shirley has a strong background in education, music, and product management.

Shirley Lacroix has an extensive education history. Shirley obtained their Ph.D. in Education from the University of Rhode Island, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned their M.A.T. in Music Education from Rhode Island College, attending from 1982 to 1985. Shirley'sundergraduate degree, a B.M. in Music, was earned at Anna Maria College, where they studied from 1975 to 1979. Shirley's earliest known education experience was at Bay View during the years 1971 to 1975, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
