Nathan Makela

Nathan Makela has a diverse work experience, starting as a Cashier, Customer Service, and Baker at Great Harvest Bread Co. in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Marketing Intern at Sales Readiness Group before becoming a Counselor at Northwest Soccer Camp in 2014-2015.

From 2016 to 2017, Nathan served as the News Editor at The Catalyst Newspaper, where they led a team of writers and oversaw the publication of the news section. Nathan then joined Colorado College and took on various roles, including Editor at Cipher Magazine, Student Representative in the English Department, Peer Tutor at the Ruth Barton Writing Center, and Design Assistant at the Innovation Institute.

In 2019, Nathan returned to Sales Readiness Group, where they held various positions. Nathan started as an Operations Assistant, assisting the Director of Training Operations in project execution, curriculum development, and project management. Nathan then became a Digital Learning Specialist, responsible for expanding the training curriculum onto a digital learning platform and creating customized instructional videos. Finally, they worked as a Client Success Manager, managing client projects from sales handoff to conclusion and fostering long-term client relationships.

In 2021, Nathan had a freelance position as a Videographer, and in 2023, they joined SBI, The Growth Advisory, as a Client Success Manager.

Nathan Makela completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English with a focus on Creative Writing from Colorado College, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Redmond High School from 2010 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Nathan also obtained an ATD Project Management Certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in February 2023.
