Arun C Murthy

Arun C Murthy is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and product management across leading companies in the tech industry. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Scale AI since February 2023, Arun previously held the position of Chief Product Officer at Cloudera, where responsibilities included engineering, product strategy, support, and partnerships. As a former Vice President and Apache Member at the Apache Software Foundation from April 2006 to September 2021, Arun played a key role in the development of the Hadoop framework. Co-founding Hortonworks, Arun contributed significantly as Chief Product Officer, overseeing engineering and R&D efforts. Earlier experience includes architecting the Hadoop Map-Reduce Development Team at Yahoo! Inc. from June 2003 to June 2011. Arun holds a degree from Visvesvaraya Technological University, completed in 2003.
