Francisco Souki

Principal Game Designer at Schell Games

Francisco Souki's work experience begins in 2006 as a Sports Writer for Weblogs SL. In 2007, they worked as a Stage Manager for "El Cascanueces Flamenco" in Venezuela. In 2011, they became an Experience Designer at Carnegie Mellon University, working on a 3D reimagination of Giacomo Balla's Fireworks. From 2017 to 2018, they worked independently as an Interactive Art Developer, creating a solo interactive piece called "Eye to Eye." Since 2009, Souki has been employed at Schell Games, initially in various designer roles before becoming a Game Design Manager. In their current role, they lead a team of six game designers and spearheads initiatives such as new hire onboarding, accessibility roundtables, and knowledge sharing programs. Throughout their career at Schell Games, Souki has also taken on various project and game design director positions, including notable projects such as "I Expect You to Die 3" and "LEGO Brickheadz Builder VR."

Francisco Souki earned their Master's degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate education at UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from 2001 to 2008. Francisco obtained a degree in Telecommunications Engineering, with a special interest in Voice and Data Networks.
