Stef Avezaat

Stef Avezaat has extensive experience in the cultural sector, currently serving as the Artistic Coordinator for Arcadia's 2025 program since July 2024 and as a Crown Member of the Raad voor Cultuur since May 2021. Previously, Stef held positions including Acting Director at DE KOM from December 2023 to June 2024, and initiated programming as a quartermaster at Arcadia in late 2023. Stef was the Director of Schouwburg De Lawei from September 2003 to March 2023 and co-founded the Youth Fund for Sports and Culture Friesland, serving as a board member from 2013 to 2021. Other roles include Chair of the Northern Theater Directories from 2007 to 2019 and Committee Member for Theater and Film at the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds from 2011 to 2018. Stef's educational background includes a Doctorandus in Social Pedagogy from the University of Amsterdam and earlier studies at Delft University of Technology and De Breul Driebergen/Zeist.
