Mike Sommer

Mike Sommer is an experienced risk and compliance professional with a robust background in financial services. Currently serving as the Head of Risk & Compliance Europe and conducting officer at Schroders since May 2019, Mike has held significant roles in risk management across major firms. Prior to this, from June 2007 to April 2019, Mike was the Conducting Officer and Head of Risk Management at Franklin Templeton Investments, overseeing the Luxembourg Management Company for UCITS and AIFM. Mike's earlier experience includes roles as a Compliance & Risk Officer at KPMG and as an Audit Professional at Deloitte & Touche. Academically, Mike holds a Diploma in Economics, Finance, and Monetary Markets from Universität Trier, complemented by study at Trinity College Dublin.
