Gail Maddox-Canteen started their professional career at Macy's in 1986 as a Sales Manager and later worked as an Employment Manager, Associate Human Resource Manager, and Senior Associate Human Resource Manager. Gail then joined F. Schumacher & Co. in 1992, where they held various roles including Director, Employee Relations and Manager/Staffing and Management Development, Director of Human Resources, Vice President of Human Resources, and Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Secretary. During their time at F. Schumacher & Co., they managed human resources for both US and global operations, developed recruitment strategies, managed company benefit plans, and implemented employment policies and procedures. In 2018, Gail Maddox-Canteen established their own consulting firm called The GMC Human Resource Consulting Group LLC, where they currently serve as the Principal and Owner.
Gail Maddox-Canteen has a Master of Science (MS) in Human Resource Education from Fordham University. Gail also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from Western New England University. In addition, Gail has obtained a Diploma in Human Resource Management from New York University and an English Teacher Certification from the State of New Jersey.
