Christopher Baker

Christopher Baker has extensive experience in law and academia, currently serving as a Consultant, Senior Advisor, Board Member, Assistant Professor, and Investor at Ourea LLC since June 2017. As a Co-Founder of HEAD - Hautes Etudes Appliquées du Droit, a private law school in Paris, since September 2011, Baker plays a pivotal role in delivering post-graduate training in business law. Additionally, Baker has been an Associate Professor at Sciences Po's Law School since January 2009, contributing to the creation of the Law Clinic and supervising various clinical projects. Previous roles include Tax and M&A Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP from November 1989 to June 2013, where Baker founded the Paris office and advised on strategic transactions, and Associate at Coudert Brothers from September 1983 to November 1989. Baker's academic credentials include an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law, a JD from the University of Chicago Law School, and a BA in Russian History and Literature from Harvard University.
