Paula Tallal

Paula Tallal has a diverse work experience in academia and neuroscience. Paula was the Founder and Director of Scientific Learning Corp. Paula also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. At Rutgers University, they served as Co-Director of the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience and was a Board of Governors Professor of Neuroscience. Prior to that, they were a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California San Diego. Throughout their career, they focused on studying the role of time and timing in learning development and disorder, with a specific emphasis on language and reading.

Paula Tallal obtained their Bachelor's degree in Art History from New York University, from 1966 to 1969. Later on, from 1970 to 1974, they pursued further studies at the University of Cambridge, where they earned their Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology.
