Andrew B.

Andrew B. has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and security. Andrew started their career as a Cyber Security Apprentice at the University of the West of Scotland in 2017, where they worked until 2019. Andrew then moved on to SPS Doorguard Limited as an IT Support Technician from 2019 to 2021. Andrew then joined altia in 2021, initially as an IT Administrator and later as an IT & Security Officer until 2023. Currently, they are working as a Cyber Security Lead at ScottishPower, starting in 2023.

Andrew B. pursued a BSC degree in Computer Networking from the University of the West of Scotland, which they completed between 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a diploma in Information Security Professionals from QA Apprenticeships in 2018 and 2019. Before that, in 2017 and 2018, they completed a diploma in Information Technology and Telecommunications Professionals from QA Apprenticeships as well. In addition to their formal education, Andrew has obtained several certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2023, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in 2022, and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Information Security Management Systems Internal Auditor Training Course (VILT) from SGS in 2022.
