Andrew Bethune

Andrew Bethune has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Andrew started their career as a Production Engineering Summer Intern at Alstom Grid in 2011, where they assisted the production engineering team and worked on AutoCAD drawings. In 2013, they completed a summer internship in Dubai, UAE, working in the Fire testing department at Thomas Bell-Wright International Consultants.

Andrew then joined Lloyd's Register in 2014 as an Assistant Structural Integrity Engineer, where they created inspection workbooks and assisted senior engineers with drawings and reports. Andrew moved on to Stork in 2015, working as a Structural Integrity Engineer on a long-term contract basis for BG Group, providing structural engineering support across all UKCS assets.

In 2016, Andrew joined Olsson Fire & Risk as a Fire Safety Engineer, providing technical advice and preparing fire reports for compliance with the New Zealand Building Code. Andrew then transitioned to Atkins in 2017 as a Structural Engineer, serving as a focal point for offshore installations and managing ongoing threats and risks.

Andrew joined Wood in 2019 as a Civil Engineer, where they supported the pre-construction phase of a large onshore wind project in Northern Sweden and provided technical support to the project owner. Currently, Andrew is working at ScottishPower as a Lead Project Manager, responsible for the civil engineering aspects of onshore substations, cable routes, and major offsite highway improvements.
