Matthew Hodgson has extensive work experience in various roles related to business transformation, executive coaching, and agile methodologies. Matthew is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Agile IQ since 2020. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as the CEO of Zen Ex Machina starting from 2011. At Zen Ex Machina, they also held the position of Board of Directors and worked as a Transformation Advisor & Executive Coach, specializing in coaching executives and leadership through digital transformation challenges. Matthew worked as an Executive and Business Transformation Advisor, focusing on Cyber Security, at Transport for NSW from November 2022 to March 2023.

At the Australian Taxation Office, Matthew played a key role as a Transformation Coach (ZXM) from 2015 to 2019. Matthew Hodgson attended the University of Canberra from 2002 to 2005, where they received a Masters degree in Knowledge Management. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Newcastle and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
In addition to their formal education, Matthew has acquired several certifications. Matthew holds a Professional Scrum Facilitation Skills (PSFS) certification from Scrum.org, obtained in January 2023. Matthew also obtained a Certified Professional Coach certification from the Coach Transformation Academy in September 2021. Matthew holds a Professional Agile Leadership (PAL-E) certification, a Professional Scrum Master (PSM III) certification, and a Professional Scrum Trainer certification, all from Scrum.org. These were obtained in January 2021, October 2019, and October 2019, respectively.
Matthew is also a Certified LEGO Serious Play (LSP) Facilitator, certified by Pivotal Play in May 2019. Matthew holds a Certified Agile Leadership (CAL1) certification from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in September 2017. Furthermore, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master (PSM II) certification and a Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification, both from Scrum.org, in March 2017 and February 2017, respectively.
