Nico Bogaerts

Nico Bogaerts has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Nico is currently the Head of Corporate Development/M&A at SD Worx since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director at Basecone from 2018 to 2021, where they led a fast-growing SaaS fintech scale-up with offices in the Netherlands and Portugal.

Before that, Nico worked at Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Europe as the M&A Director Europe from 2013 to 2018, driving and supporting the digital transformation of the company through targeted M&A activities. Nico also held various roles at Wolters Kluwer Transport Services, including Business Development Manager Europe and Country Manager, from 2002 to 2013.

In 2001, Nico worked as the Sales & Marketing Manager at Teleroute Belgium, which was part of Wolters Kluwer Transport Services. Prior to that, they were a Key Account Manager at ABX Logistics from 1995 to 2001.

Nico began their career in 1993 at Bank J. Van Breda & C°, where they served as Inside Sales and Customer Support.

Nico Bogaerts has a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Hogeschool Antwerpen. Nico also completed an E-business development program at Nyenrode Business University in 2001. In 2002, they obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Entrepreneurial MBA from Flanders Business School. In 2013, they participated in the Insead Executive Management Program, specializing in M&A and corporate strategy within the field of Finance, Business & Corporate Strategy. Nico Bogaerts is currently studying Leading Digital Business Transformation at IMD since 2016, and they are also pursuing Leading Global Teams at Vlerick Business School.
