Ashley Skett

Ashley Skett has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Ashley has held the position of Director of Operations at Sea-Kit International Ltd since June 2018. Prior to that, they worked as an Unmanned Vessel Skipper at Hushcraft Ltd. From February 2017 to April 2018, Ashley served as the Technical Services Manager at diYachting. Ashley also has experience as a Race Skipper at Clipper Round the World Yacht Race (Clipper Ventures plc) from May 2013 to September 2016. Ashley has worked as a Yacht Captain on S/Y Kaweskar II and S/Y Axia, as well as a Senior Instructor at Head4Heights Ltd. Ashley started their career as a Firefighter at Warwickshire Fire & Rescue and later served as an Operations Manager at Sketts.

Ashley Skett attended Lacon Childe Secondary School from 1994 to 2000, where they completed their GCSEs. From 2008 to 2010, they studied at the University of Plymouth and obtained a Foundation degree in Outdoor Education. In terms of additional certifications, Ashley obtained a GMDSS Operators License from Ofcom in February 2015, a Medical Care On Board Ship certification from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency in January 2015, a Yachtmaster Instructor certification from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in March 2014, and a Yachtmaster Ocean 200gt certification from the RYA in April 2010.
