Sean McKenna

Sean McKenna is an experienced marine science professional with a diverse background in marine biology, research, and education. Currently serving as the Marine Science Fellowship Coordinator and Aquarist II at Seacoast Science Center since December 2017, Sean has held various roles, including captain and research assistant at Whale Center of New England, and captain at Charles River Boat Company. Previous experiences include marine geophysical survey assistance at CR Environmental, Inc., marine mammal observation with CIANBRO, and hands-on marine mammal rescue internship with Marine Mammals of Maine. Sean holds a degree from Eckerd College and has participated in a Semester at Sea program, showcasing a strong commitment to marine conservation and public education.
