Martha Parker is a Partner at SeatonHill. Martha was previously Corporate Treasurer & EVP Finance at Back Roads Entertainment from May 2020 to February 2021. In this role, Martha prepared financials to acquire licensed television series for networks. Martha also managed, coached, and developed a team of two associates.

During their time at Back Roads Entertainment, Martha led the financial analysis on a potential joint venture with Turner, Will Smith and a production studio. Martha modeled consolidated and equity method financials, including cash flow, for this variable interest entity. Martha also developed complex financial models and led the redesign of models and processes which resulted in time savings of 150 hours annually. In addition, they worked closely with Programming, Ad Sales, and Research to gather input on acquisitions and ensure that all assumptions were aligned in order to calculate accurate estimated margins. Lastly, Martha prepared post-mortem analyses on acquisitions which increased from two analyses in 2007 to 19 in 2011. Martha presented these analyses to various Executives as a means to garner learnings for future acquisitions.

Throughout their career, Martha has presented valuations and ad hoc analyses to EVP, Finance and SVP, Program Acquisitions. Martha has discussed any recommended changes to deal terms and potential levers to pull in negotiations.

Martha Parker graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Emory University - Goizueta Business School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia. Martha is also a certified public accountant (CPA).
