Maya Mendoza-Exstrom

Maya Mendoza-Exstrom has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and sectors. Maya most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and Senior Vice President of Legal and External Affairs at the Seattle Sounders FC, starting in 2014. Maya also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience starting in 2017. In 2016, they joined the Seattle Parks Foundation as a Member of the Board of Directors. Maya has been actively involved with the Highline Schools Foundation since 2007, where they served as a Trustee, Chair of the Burien Brat Trot 5K, and Past President. Maya was also a Member of the Board of Trustees at the RAVE Foundation starting in 2013. Prior to these roles, Maya worked as an Attorney at the Mendoza Law Center, PLLC, where they provided legal counsel to clients across various industries on corporate formation, contract negotiation, litigation, and non-profit organization governance. Before that, they served as the Director of Coaching at the Highline Premier Football Club from 2012 to 2013. Maya's earlier experiences include working as a Congressional Staff member in the US House of Representatives and as a Ticket Sales/Retail Sales associate at the Experience Music Project.

Maya Mendoza-Exstrom has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and History from the University of Puget Sound. Maya also has a JD from the University of Washington School of Law, specializing in Law.
