Director, Major & Principal Gifts at Seattle Symphony

Nicholas Walls is a seasoned professional in the field of philanthropy with extensive experience in leading fundraising efforts for prominent arts organizations. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Philanthropy at Seattle Symphony since March 2021, Nicholas previously held the role of Director of Major and Principal Gifts at the same institution from August 2015 to January 2018. Prior to this, Nicholas was the Director of Major Gifts at The Philadelphia Orchestra from February 2018 to March 2021 and has also contributed to the Seattle Opera as Development Research Manager and Individual Giving Associate. Additional experience includes a fellowship at the Metropolitan Opera Guild and leadership roles at ensemble mise-en and Trade Winds Quintet, complemented by a background as a freelance musician. Nicholas holds a Master's of Music in French Horn from Mannes The New School For Music and a Bachelor's of Music in French Horn from UC Santa Barbara.
