Nekia Hackworth Jones

Nekia Hackworth Jones serves as the Regional Director for the Atlanta Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, overseeing over 100 professionals responsible for enforcement and examination programs across multiple states. Prior to this role, Nekia was a Litigation Partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, specializing in corporate internal investigations, government investigations, and complex litigation. As an Assistant United States Attorney, Nekia prosecuted a wide range of federal criminal cases and authored legal memoranda and briefs. Additionally, during tenure as Associate Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice, Nekia led initiatives addressing financial fraud. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Human Resources Management from Emory University.
