Simon Pentzien, MBA

Simon Pentzien, MBA has a diverse work experience beginning in 2006 as a Trainee in Marketing at McKeith Research Ltd. Simon later gained legal experience as a Trainee in Corporate Law at Clifford Chance LLP and as a Trainee in Intellectual Property Law at Taylor Wessing. Simon then worked as a Paralegal in Real Estate Law at CMS Hasche Sigle and as a Paralegal in Corporate Law/Venture Capital at Osborne Clarke. In 2016, they joined Springlane GmbH as a Student Trainee before transitioning to Henkel as an Assistant Brand Manager Digital. Simon's legal career continued at Fieldfisher where they focused on Data Protection Law and IT Law, advising clients on data protection, IT contracts, and intellectual property law. Most recently, they co-founded SECJUR in 2020 as the Chief Product Officer, where they currently work.

Simon Pentzien holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, which they obtained from 2016 to 2017. This program included international modules in the United States, China, and India.

Simon also completed an International Module at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2016, focusing on International Business. In 2017, they pursued additional International Modules at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), and Fudan University, all of which led to him earning an MBA degree.

Prior to their MBA studies, Simon Pentzien attended The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 2006 to 2013. Simon achieved a First State Exam with a focus on Legal Studies and European Legal Studies, ranking in the top 8% of their class. In 2009, they participated in an Abroad Semester at San Diego State University, focusing on Criminal Justice. In 2005, they also attended the Central School of English in London, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this institution.

Furthermore, Simon Pentzien has obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in March 2023.
