Nelson Hochman

Nelson Hochman has extensive work experience in agile delivery and portfolio management roles. Nelson has worked as a Senior Agile Delivery Lead at Secure Code Warrior since 2022, where they are responsible for building a collaborative environment and managing the completion of initiatives using agile techniques. Prior to that, they held the same role at InDebted from March 2022 to August 2022.

From 2020 to 2022, Nelson worked at IAG, first as a Principal in Agile Portfolio Management, where they managed the overall domain portfolio delivery and implemented agile frameworks. Nelson then transitioned to a role as a Senior Agile Transformation Lead, providing mentoring and support to product teams.

Before IAG, Nelson worked as a Scrum Master at WooliesX and Qantas from 2020 to 2021 and 2017 to 2020, respectively. In these roles, they led teams and facilitated Agile/Digital transformations, implemented lean processes, and removed impediments for development teams.

Prior to that, Nelson worked as a Scrum Master at ING DIRECT Australia from 2016 to 2017, where they contributed to the company's agile and lean transformation in the Automation Domain. Nelson also served as a Scrum Master at Commonwealth Bank in 2015, building tools and capabilities for delivery and release teams.

Earlier in their career, Nelson worked as a Scrum Master at Cancer Institute NSW from 2013 to 2015, applying agile methodologies and driving cultural change. Nelson also held senior consulting roles at Macquarie Group and ICM Consulting Pty Ltd in 2013.

Nelson Hochman obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Analysis from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, graduating in 2006. Nelson also pursued Eletric Engineering at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro from 1997 to 2001 but did not complete the degree. In terms of certifications, Nelson has completed numerous courses and obtained certifications such as "Certified Lean Inception Facilitator" from Caroli.org in July 2021, "ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching" from ICAgile in October 2020, and "CSPO - Certified Scrum Product Owner" from Scrum Alliance in August 2016, among others.
