Omeed Shahhosseini co-founded LockPod, a company aimed at addressing the issue of bike theft through the development of secure bike storage solutions and a mobile app. Omeed is currently involved in the development of the company in San Diego.
Previously, Omeed worked at SEDS UCSD, where they held various roles. As the Director of Engineering, they oversaw the engineering department and its operations. Omeed also served as the Lander Testbed Lead, leading the design and development of an autonomous test vehicle for collegiate rocketry. In addition, Omeed worked as a Propulsion Development Engineer, focusing on the design and verification of a regeneratively cooled engine called Nephas. Omeed also worked as a Propellant Feed Engineer, where they established critical vehicle parameters and developed robust models for the Rocket Lander Testbed's propellant feed system.
Before SEDS UCSD, Omeed worked as an Instructor at Mind Crafters Robotics from 2018 to 2019.
Omeed Shahhosseini completed their high school education at Granada Hills Charter from 2015 to 2019, earning their High School Diploma. Omeed then attended Santa Clara University from 2019 to 2020, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechatronics, Robotics, and Aerospace. Currently, Omeed is enrolled at UC San Diego, from 2021 to 2023, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Controls and Robotics.
