Maria Antonia Starling has worked in a variety of roles in the environmental engineering field since 2011. Maria Antonia began their career as an Intern and Technical Assistant at the State Government of Minas Gerais in Brazil. Maria Antonia then completed an Internship at Ambienta Soluções Ambientais Ltda in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Waste Management Assessment for the Development Agency of the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte - Agencia RMBH. During this time, they were responsible for technical assessment for a variety of projects regarding waste management. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at IDP Ingeniería, Medio ambiente y Arquitectura as a Project Manager. Her duties included prospection and development of new business. Since 2017, they have been the Head of Operations and Customer Success Manager at Seedz.

Maria Antonia Starling has a diverse educational background. Maria Antonia completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from Iowa State University in 2011, majoring in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. From 2007 to 2012, they obtained an Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental degree from Universidade Federal de Viçosa. In 2010, they attended Politecnico di Torino and obtained a degree in Renewable Energy and Sustainability. Most recently, they completed a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul in 2021, in the field of MBA em Liderança, Inovação e Gestão 4.0. In addition to their formal education, Maria Antonia Starling has obtained several certifications, including a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in April 2020, a Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in November 2013, an IELTS - Accademic from IELTS BRITISHCOUNCIL in July 2017, and a Sebrae - Como conquistar e manter clientes - a importancia do Customer Succes from SEBRAE in November 2019.
