JOB SUMMARY
This position is part-time working approximately 25 per week, located in Marquette Michigan.
As an Energy Efficiency Intern at SEEL, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of energy efficiency and sustainability. You will work closely with our team of Energy Technicians and assist in the implementation of energy efficiency programs for our utility clients. You will work across all aspects of the program from Home Energy Assessments to Commercial Assessments.
Great Pay: $18 an hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Shadow and support Energy Technicians with facility energy assessments and direct installation of energy savings products
Utilize internal reporting tool to develop customized energy assessment reports outlining identified opportunities following on-site energy assessments
Support data entry in spreadsheets and database to track and document program activitie
Collaborate with Energy Technicians to engage with utility customers, providing information on energy-saving programs, including but not limited to:
Make outbound calls to schedule appointments
Respond to customer and/or service provider inquiries by phone, electronically or in person
Manage field time effectively with customers and service providers
Develop and deliver presentations to create awareness about the program
Assist the program team with rebate application preparation, submission, and quality assurance
Discuss technical elements of energy consuming equipment-i.e., lighting, HVAC, hot water system, and building envelope
Research industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to the continuous improvement of our programs
Adhere to the safety requirements of the organization and the utility client
Maintain professional appearance and behavior appropriate for a representative of our organization and the utility
Be able to work in a team atmosphere, and willing to collaborate with Energy Advisors and other team members
QUALIFICATIONS
Enrolled in a full-time associate or bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
Strong interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental conservation
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
Commitment to promoting sustainable and energy efficient practices
Reliable transportation to travel to job sites and meetings

Willingness to travel up to 75%, home at night
