Mikkel Bernt Buchvardt

Mikkel Bernt Buchvardt has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to the present. Mikkel started their career in the military, serving as a Drafted Artillery Soldier from August 2002 to April 2003, where they were responsible for establishing self-propelled howitzers using surveyor equipment. Mikkel then became a Cadet from August 2004 to June 2009, gradually increasing their responsibilities in planning, team leadership, and education. Mikkel particularly enjoyed mentoring and coaching 12 cadets during their training.

In August 2015, Mikkel worked as a Teaching Assistant and Substitute Teacher at Amager Privatskole. Mikkel'sresponsibilities included teaching sports to 1st, 6th, and 7th graders, teaching swimming to 3rd and 4th graders, and providing assistance in teaching children with special needs.

From September 2016 to April 2022, Mikkel worked at KMD, starting as a BI Specialist and progressing to become a Lead Data Scientist and eventually the Chief Data Scientist. During their tenure, they played a key role in data analysis and management.

Currently, Mikkel works at SEGES Innovation, where they have held multiple positions since April 2022. Mikkel started as the Competence Manager for Data Analytics and Head of Data Professionals, leading tasks related to business intelligence, statistics, AI, and data analytics. Afterwards, they became the Head of Technology, Data Analytics, and Operations. In April 2023, Mikkel will assume the role of Director of Data & Analytics.

Mikkel Bernt Buchvardt has a diverse education history. Mikkel first attended HTX Næstved from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Higher Technical Examination (htx) degree in Electronics. Following this, they enrolled at the Royal Danish Naval Basic Training in 2004, where they completed the program and became an Ordinary Seaman in Maritime Studies.

In the same year, Mikkel attended the Royal Danish Naval Sergeant and Reserve Officer School, where they furthered their studies in Naval Sergeant training and obtained a Sergeant degree. In 2005, they returned to the Royal Danish Naval Academy and pursued a Master's degree in Maritime Navigation, which they completed in 2008.

In 2008, Mikkel began their officer training at the Royal Danish Naval Academy and obtained the rank of First Lieutenant during their tenure, which lasted until 2009. In the same year, they attended the Royal Danish Flying School and acquired a Private Pilot License (parts of) with a focus on the selection of future pilots.

To diversify their educational background, Mikkel pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Psychology at Copenhagen Business School from 2011 to 2014. Concurrently, they also studied Business & Marketing at Niels Brock in 2011, receiving a Higher Commercial Examination (hhx) degree.

In 2014, Mikkel enrolled in IT-Universitetet i København, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Software Development and Technology. Mikkel completed this degree in 2016.

In 2018, they obtained certifications in "Getting Started with SAP Lumira" from open.sap.com, "Reproducible Research," "Exploratory Data Analysis," "Getting and Cleaning Data," "Regression Models," and "Statistical Inference" from Coursera. Mikkel also obtained a Targit Certified Specialist certification from TARGIT in the same year. In 2019, Mikkel acquired certifications in "Deep Learning" and "Sequence Models" from Coursera.
