Lead Data Engineer at Sema4

Bino Mathew has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and data engineering. Bino started their career at Roche as a Senior Software Developer from October 2011 to November 2013. Bino then moved on to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where they worked as a Biomedical Software Developer from December 2013 to June 2017. During this time, Bino gained expertise in the healthcare industry.

In June 2017, Bino joined Sema4 as a Senior Software Engineer. Bino designed, developed, and maintained a workflow engine in AWS Cloud for migrating an existing Illumina demultiplexing pipeline. At Sema4, they also played a key role in developing and maintaining the Rhea streaming software, which was used to stream Illumina Sequencer output to AWS S3 buckets. In January 2021, Bino was promoted to the role of Lead Data Engineer at Sema4. In this position, they took responsibility for evaluating and implementing the infrastructure design of Qlik data integration products Qlik Replicate and Qlik Compose. Bino designed and implemented an ETL pipeline for the Datawarehouse using Qlik Replicate and Qlik Compose, ensuring efficient connectivity and performance from multiple data sources.

Bino Mathew completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Technology at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). Bino obtained additional certifications, including an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022 and a Hands-On Essentials - Data Warehouse from Snowflake in May 2021. Bino also obtained a certification in Practical Machine Learning from Cloud Academy, Inc., although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
