Qing Liu (Cherry)

Qing (Cherry) Liu is an experienced transportation professional currently serving as a Transportation Modeler III at SEMCOG since May 2023. Previously, Qing held the position of Senior Transportation Modeler at the San Diego Association of Governments from August 2019 to August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as Project Engineer for the City of Edmonton between 2012 and July 2019, Transportation Planner at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation from 2009 to 2012, and Transportation Engineer at 407 ETR from 2003 to 2007. Qing began the career as a Transportation Engineer at the China Highway Planning and Design Institute from 1995 to 2000. Academic qualifications include a Master of Applied Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Engineering in Transportation Engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University.
