Sumona de Graaf

Sumona De Graaf is an accomplished founder, board member, educator, and executive with extensive experience in human resources, talent development, and diversity and inclusion. As the Founder of idealis., a consultancy aimed at enhancing workplace performance through human-centered talent solutions, Sumona also serves as Co-Chair of the Board for Coqual, advocating for inclusive work environments. Current roles include HR Venture Advisor at SemperVirens Venture Capital and Adjunct Professor at the University of Georgia, where expertise in Industrial/Organizational Psychology is shared. Previously, leadership positions were held at Republic Services, ghSMART, Bloomberg LP, and American Express, focusing on strategic HR initiatives and career development. Sumona holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from The George Washington University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology from Lehigh University.
