Evans Kaburu

Evans Kaburu is the Talent Acquisition lead at Sendy. Evans was previously with NFT Consult from June 2014 to September 2021, where they were the Talent Acquisition Specialist - East Africa. In this role, they worked closely with the Regional Business Manager to deliver recruitment needs to clients as well as offer recruitment support to other recruiters in the regional branches (Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, Zambia, South Sudan). Evans was responsible for designing and updating recruitment advertisements for open positions on CATs and Other job sites in the country, and for updating all staff members on all approved vacancy positions. Evans used CATs and other recruitment Channels like LinkedIn to identify suitable applicants and selected the best applicants. Evans also summarized applicant profiles for easier evaluation and interviews by the respective managers and clients, scheduled interviews, made follow ups to clients and sent feedbacks to all interviewees. Evans actively administered and participated in phone interviews and one on one interviews ensuring compliance to the NFT recruitment procedures and policies. In addition, they maintained an active, updated and organized data base of applicants for various positions, prepared weekly progress reports and shared them with NFT Business team & Management Team for progress update and further instructions, and conducted reference checks for all to be hired/successful candidates and sent the reports to hiring managers/clients.

Evans Kaburu received a diploma in business information technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Evans is also certified by LinkedIn in learning LinkedIn recruiter, Alison - free online learning in diploma in modern human resource management, CompTIA in CompTIA A+, and LinkedIn in communicating in the language of leadership and interviewing techniques.
