Kelly Carlson Hernandez, PHR has a diverse work experience in various industries. Kelly started their career at the American Lung Association as an Administrative Coordinator, where they handled administrative tasks and managed finances. After that, they worked at Vituity as a Credentialing Specialist, responsible for managing contract start-up operations and verifying credentials for new candidates. Kelly then transitioned to the role of Benefits Administrator at Vituity, where they processed employee benefits enrollments and served as a liaison between vendors and employees.

Kelly then joined Culturlingua Language School as an ESL Teacher, where they created and implemented lesson plans for students of various ages and English proficiency levels. After that, they returned to Vituity as a Benefits Administrator II, where they conducted benefits orientations, processed payrolls, and advised employees on eligibility and coverage.

Most recently, Kelly worked at Sequoia, where they held various roles, starting as a Client Service Manager and then progressing to a Senior Client Service Manager. In these roles, they provided support related to HR, benefits, payroll, and HRIS systems, built strong relationships with clients in the tech industry, guided clients through benefit renewal and open enrollment processes, and project managed client implementations onto Sequoia One's benefits and payroll platform.

Throughout their career, Kelly has demonstrated strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Kelly Carlson Hernandez, PHR, completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies from San Diego State University. Kelly attended from 2003 to 2007. In 2006, they also participated in a Spanish Language and Culture Studies program at Universidad Nebrija. Kelly further achieved the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in May 2019 through the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
