About this Job:

The Education Coordinator plans, develops, implements, leads, and evaluates a comprehensive educational program designed to assist our clients to thrive through education. Researches and develops effective and innovative course materials; documents program activities and attendance as well as client progress, Builds and maintains effective and professional relationships with clients and community groups.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, coordinates, schedules, instructs and supervises a variety of educational programs for the Organization such as: Tutoring Programs, English Courses, Music Lessons etc
  • Evaluates program participant’s needs and progress to determine if programs are effective or if additional assistance/referrals are needed.
  • Compiles and disseminates educational material to be used in classes.
  • Monitor and evaluates all volunteer staff participating in the educational programs; prepares and maintains records of volunteer and community service participants of educational programs.
  • Attends all program classes to ensure continuity of the classes and to observe clients’ progress;
  • Provides educational, recreational and cultural programs during special seasons or events.
  • Prepares and maintains statistical records and required reports on all educational programs provided and ensures the accuracy and completeness of those.
  • Prepares general correspondence and maintains accurate and up-to-date records on program participates and volunteers.
  • Performs community relations activities to promote programs by speaking to groups and coordinating volunteer efforts and coordinates services with other community resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Teaching and/or developing and leading educational programs.
  • Fully Bilingual: Spanish & English (Read, Write and Speak) is a requirement.
