Matthew Hopkins has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 with their role as a Telemetry and Loads Engineer at AGUSTAWESTLAND LIMITED. Matthew then moved on to become a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Imperial College London in 2014, where they worked until 2018. In 2017, they joined Royal Holloway, University of London as a Scientific Researcher for a year. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London. Currently, they are working as a Systems Engineer at SERG Technologies since June 2021.
Matthew Hopkins completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Imperial College London from 2014 to 2018. The focus of their research was Embedded Technology Design for Biomedical Applications. Prior to their PhD, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Cybernetics at the University of Reading from 2013 to 2014. Matthew initially began their higher education journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton, which they completed from 2009 to 2012.
