Shloak Mehta has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Shloak utilized principles of Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics and created various calculators for pipe-sizing, air flow, heat flow, and noise attenuation. Shloak also gained experience using HAP Carrier to test cooling performance.
In 2017, Shloak worked for The Alternative Limb Project as the Mechanical Sub-Team Lead, designing and building prosthetic legs that reflected clients' individuality and personality. Shloak collaborated with a team of 10 students and worked with a bilateral AK paralympian. Shloak'sresponsibilities included CAD, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and raising the profile and confidence of amputees.
From 2017 to 2018, Shloak joined the Robot Intelligence Lab at Imperial College as an MSc Bipedal Robotics Researcher. During this time, they focused on researching and developing bipedal robotic systems.
In 2018, Shloak worked as a Research Associate at The University of Manchester and as an Automation Research Associate at Procter & Gamble. At both positions, they gained valuable research experience.
In 2019, Shloak embarked on two simultaneous roles, starting as an MRC/Blatchford PhD Student at Imperial College London and as an MRC PhD Student at Blatchford. Shloak also took on the role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Imperial College London.
In 2022, they joined SERG Technologies as a Research Assistant.
