Raj Iyer

Raj Iyer, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the technology and public sectors. Raj is currently serving as the Head of Global Public Sector at ServiceNow, a role that was established as a strategic priority by the CEO and Board of Directors. Prior to this, Dr. Iyer was the Chief Information Officer for the US Army, responsible for the Army's IT portfolio and overseeing a global workforce of IT professionals. Raj also led IT reform and digital transformation efforts for the Army.

Before joining ServiceNow, Raj Iyer worked at Deloitte as a Managing Director in the Government and Public Services sector, supporting Army clients in their digital transformation efforts. Raj also held the role of Senior Technology Advisor at the US Department of Health and Human Services, where they played a key role in the recovery of the Healthcare.gov health insurance marketplace.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Iyer served in various technology leadership roles within the US Army, including Chief Technology Officer for the US Army Materiel Command and Director of Data Management at the US Army TACOM. Raj also worked at Imagecom, Inc. as the CTO and VP of Product Development, leading the development of web-based enterprise software products.

Raj Iyer began their career as a Research Associate at the Automation and Robotics Research Institute, where they collaborated with aerospace and defense companies to secure funding for their Ph.D. research. Raj also worked as a Systems Engineer at FlightSafety International, developing computer graphics algorithms for flight simulation and training applications.

Raj Iyer, Ph.D. has an extensive education history. Raj obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in 1992. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from The University of Texas at Arlington from 1992 to 1994. Raj continued their education at the same institution and completed their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 1997.

In 2007, Raj Iyer attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where they earned an Executive MBA degree in 2009. During the same time, from 2008 to 2009, they also obtained a Certificate in Program Management from the Naval Postgraduate School, specializing in the Advanced Acquisition Program.

Aside from their formal education, Raj Iyer has acquired several additional certifications over the years. In 2008, they completed the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership.
