Michael Nelson

Michael Nelson is the current General Manager of People at Services Australia. Prior to this, they were the Executive Manager at Work Rehab from August 2018 to September 2020. Work Rehab is a national provider of occupational rehabilitation, return to work, well-being, resilience and human centered cultural change programs and services. Michael was also previously the Chief Human Resources Officer at Queensland Health from January 2016 to August 2017. In this role, they were responsible for leading the HR and Industrial Relations functions for the QLD Department of Health. Michael has also held the position of General Manager, People Services at the Australian Government Department of Human Services from October 2013 to January 2016.

Michael Nelson has a degree in Arts from UNSW. Michael also has a degree in industrial relations from UNSW.
