Cristian Couchot

Cristian Couchot, LL.B, CIC.C, CIPP/C, currently serves as Senior Legal Counsel at Servus Credit Union since July 2023. Prior to this role, Cristian was Counsel at Axiom from February 2022 to July 2023, providing legal advice to various financial institutions. Cristian's experience includes serving as Senior Legal Counsel for Compliance at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), where responsibilities included regulatory compliance management and risk mitigation in various legal areas. At Canadian Western Bank, Cristian held the positions of Regulatory Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer and Legal Counsel, overseeing privacy and regulatory compliance frameworks. Earlier roles include Corporate Trust Officer at Computershare, Articling Student positions at Miller Thomson LLP and Stantec, and Personal Banker at TD. Cristian holds a Law degree from Western University and a Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Alberta.
