James Sweetman

James Sweetman has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. James currently holds the position of Staff Software Engineer at Settle since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Affirm as a Staff Software Engineer from July 2021 to March 2022, where they were responsible for conducting performance analysis and improvements, developing and launching Affirm Connect, and leading a team for Credit as a Service. Before that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2020 to July 2021 and as a Software Engineer from July 2018 to April 2020.

James also worked at Salesforce as a Software Engineer from July 2016 to July 2018, where they gained valuable experience. James started their career at Salesforce as a Software Engineer Intern from May 2015 to July 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Pod Mentor at UT Computer Science Department from August 2013 to December 2015.

James Sweetman also had roles at Applied Research Laboratories, The University of Texas at Austin as a Software Developer from June 2014 to May 2015, where they rewrote python backend and created testing suites. Lastly, they served as a Mentor at Texas Interdisciplinary Plan from August 2013 to May 2015.

From 2012 to 2016, James Sweetman attended The University of Texas at Austin, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
