Trong-Nhan Le, also known as Ethan, has previously worked at SIA Engineering Company as an Aircraft Technician responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of commercial aircraft. In 2015, he started working as a Graduate Research Assistant at National Cheng Kung University where they designed and tested add-on devices to enhance the hydrodynamic efficiency of diffuser augmented tidal turbines. Later, he developed a multi-scale simulation framework for predicting the thermal distribution during the process of Selective Electron Beam Melting (SEBM), developed a new volumetric heat source model for SEBM and a multi-phase Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model to investigate the powder flow interaction and laser absorptivity properties during the Direct Energy Deposition (DED) process. In 2022, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Louisville till April 2023. Starting from June 2023, he works as an Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer at Seurat Technologies.
Trong-Nhan Le (Ethan) has an extensive education history in the field of mechanical and aerospace engineering. Trong-Nhan earned their Bachelor of Engineering degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2015. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from National Cheng Kung University, which he completed in 2017. Trong-Nhan further continued their academic pursuits in Mechanical Engineering, earning two separate PhD degrees: first, from National Cheng Kung University (2017-2021); and second, from Swinburne University of Technology (2018-2021).
