Alex Silber

Chief Operating Officer at Shangri-La Construction

Alex Silber has extensive experience in the construction and development industry. They currently hold the position of Chief Operating Officer at Shangri-La Industries, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, Alex was the Chief Operating Officer at Shangri-La Construction, where they oversaw a range of projects and ranked #27 on the Los Angeles Business Journal's Top Contractors List. They started at Shangri-La Construction in 2013 as a Project Engineer and steadily worked their way up to Project Manager and Project Director/Dir of Operations. Before joining Shangri-La, Alex worked as a Project Manager at Gaia Development from 2009 to 2013. They also gained experience as a Project Manager Intern at LivingHomes, where they contributed to the development of sustainable, LEED Platinum-certified homes. Additionally, Alex has a Managing Partner role at Little Prince, starting in 2018.

Alex Silber earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. In 2007, they also obtained a Certificate in Business from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business. Additionally, Alex Silber has obtained several certifications, including being Procore Certified for Project Manager in Construction Financials, Project Management, and Core Tools from Procore Technologies in 2017 and 2018. Alex is also a LEED AP certified by the US Green Building Council, and holds an OSHA 30 certification from the U.S. Department of Labor.
