Henry Lee

Henry Lee has a range of work experience in the field of research and engineering. Henry started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Jerry Yang Lab in the UC San Diego Chemistry Department, where they assisted in the discovery of therapies for neurodegenerative diseases. Henry also aided in the discovery of the mechanism that causes an increase in hippocampal dendritic spine density.

Following this, Henry worked as a Research Fellow in UC San Diego's Pharmacology Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships Program. Henry then moved on to become an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Jin Zhang Lab in the UC San Diego Pharmacology Department.

Henry's next role was as a Senior Design Engineer at the J. Craig Venter Institute. Henry then joined the University of Washington as a Graduate Research Assistant at the James D. Bryers Lab in the UW Bioengineering Department. In this role, they developed an artificial opsonin to potentially reduce healthcare-associated infections.

Currently, Henry works at Shape Therapeutics Inc. Henry started as a Research Associate and has now been promoted to Senior Research Associate.

Henry Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering (Biotechnology) from UC San Diego in 2018. Henry then pursued a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering at the University of Washington from 2018 to 2020.
