Every day, the dedicated staff at the Shelby County Health Department work to provide the necessary services to improve the health and well-being of all in Shelby County. The health department offers over 100 programs to every resident and visitor in Shelby County. 
Some of these programs and services include: 
•	Promoting healthy living through education via community classes and outreach events

•	Family Planning Services to both men and women, including wellness exams, pregnancy testing, contraceptive counseling, and more 

•	Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Services which offers STI/HIV testing and treatment services, free condoms, and education programs

•	Environmental Safety Services such as the Mosquito Control and Surveillance
