Ranya Fischer is an experienced volunteer and leader with a focus on community engagement and research. Currently serving as a Volunteer at Shelter for Help in Emergency since January 2023, Ranya also holds the position of HELPLine Program Director at Madison House and is a Student Researcher at UVA Biocomplexity Institute, where data collection and analysis related to COVID-19 interventions have been published in Nature Scientific Data. Previous roles include a Campaign Fellow at Terry for Virginia, and a Sayva Ambassador, where Ranya organized community events and co-chaired initiatives aimed at empowering teens in the DMV area. Ranya's leadership experience extends to being Lead Officer for Solar on the Schools, advocating for sustainable energy solutions within Fairfax County schools. Ranya's background includes a Summer Research Internship under Delegate Mark Keam, focusing on legislative topics while representing constituents' concerns. Ranya is currently pursuing a degree at the University of Virginia.
