Dr. Mazin Khasawneh

Dr. Mazin Khasawneh is currently an Assistant Professor of Physics at Shenandoah University since August 2022. Prior to this role, Dr. Khasawneh served in various academic positions, including at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and the US Coast Guard Academy, where experience as an Instructor was gained. With a research focus on superconductivity and ferromagnetism, Dr. Khasawneh investigates the interaction between these two types of order, particularly in Magnetic Josephson junctions and their applications in cryogenic memory. Dr. Khasawneh holds a PhD in Physics from Michigan State University and has completed two Master's degrees in Physics, one at Michigan State University and another at Al albayt University in Jordan, specializing in the optical properties of materials. An undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Physics, was earned at Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan.
